The Photograph We Never Took (Night)

£500.00
Limited Availability

This work follows the death of the artist’s father in 2019 and contemplates their relationship, which has been captured visually over time in a few lost photographs. The latter has been lost, its absence representing a new void manifested in death.

Retracing this lost artefact prompts the artist to enlist voice recordings as a means to recreate the image of the bond between father and daughter. The sound forms of the two voices join together as two uniting circles, replacing the photograph they never took.
